KanTec was founded by John Canny, a recognised enterprise technology leader with more than 30 years of experience helping organisations navigate some of the most significant technology transformations of the last three decades. During senior leadership roles within IBM, John worked alongside enterprise clients across financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, public sector and multinational organisations.
He witnessed first-hand the evolution from traditional data centres to virtualisation, cloud computing, DevOps, digital transformation and now artificial intelligence. Throughout that journey, one observation remained constant: organisations want the innovation and agility of modern cloud platforms, but they do not want to sacrifice security, governance, compliance or control.
As enterprises increasingly face challenges around data sovereignty, regulatory oversight, cloud economics and AI adoption, John recognised the need for a new operating model. KanTec was created to deliver that vision.
